# Your competitor brief

Canonical page: https://anomaradar.com/brief

Illustrative example. The competitors are fictional.

This is the whole product: one page a week. Five competitors watched, two moves that deserve a decision, one on the watch list, and two weeks of noise left out on purpose.

- Week of: Mar 17 – Mar 23
- Competitors watched: 5
- Signals reviewed: 128
- Reported: 3

## Worth a decision

### Cardinal is making a coordinated move upmarket.

Cardinal. High confidence. 4 signals.

What changed: Cardinal introduced an Enterprise plan with pricing on request, published SSO and SCIM documentation, shipped an audit-log page, and opened three enterprise account executive roles in two weeks.

Why it matters: Cardinal has competed with you on mid-market deals at a lower price point. Four independent signals in the same direction suggest this is a funded plan, not an experiment. Expect them in security reviews on your larger deals within a quarter, and expect their sales team to lead with compliance.

Consider:

- Check whether SSO, SCIM and audit logs are gaps in your own enterprise readiness before your next security review.
- Brief sales on how to respond when Cardinal is present in a deal above 200 seats.
- Decide whether their vacated low end is worth defending or worth ceding.

Evidence:

- Mar 12 · Pricing · cardinal.com/pricing: New fourth tier, “Enterprise — talk to us”. Seat minimum removed from Business tier.
- Mar 14 · Product · docs.cardinal.com/security/sso: SAML SSO and SCIM provisioning docs published. Previously no SSO documentation existed.
- Mar 18 · Positioning · cardinal.com/customers/meridian-health: First case study with a 2,000-employee organisation; procurement and security review named in the copy.
- Mar 20 · Hiring · Careers page — 3 roles: Enterprise AE (2, US), Solutions Engineer (1). Comp bands imply six-figure ACV targets.

### Loop44 moved its API access behind a higher tier.

Loop44. High confidence. 2 signals.

What changed: The API, previously included on the Starter plan, now requires Growth. Rate limits on Growth were raised at the same time and the changelog entry frames it as “fair use”.

Why it matters: Developer-led teams evaluating both of you now hit a paywall at Loop44 earlier in the trial. That is a concrete wedge in deals where the buyer wants to test an integration before committing.

Consider:

- Make your API-on-entry-tier position explicit on your pricing page while the contrast is fresh.
- Give sales a one-line comparison for trials that started on Loop44 Starter.

Evidence:

- Mar 16 · Pricing · loop44.com/pricing: “API access” row moved from Starter to Growth; Growth rate limit raised from 60 to 300 rpm.
- Mar 16 · Product · loop44.com/changelog: “Updated plan limits” entry, no migration note for existing Starter customers.

## Watch list

### Vantage Grid is hiring its first two data engineers.

Vantage Grid. Low confidence. 2 signals.

What changed: Two data engineering roles opened, both mentioning “warehouse-native” in the description. No product, pricing or messaging change yet.

Why it matters: Possibly early groundwork for a warehouse-native version of their product, which would overlap with the direction you have on your own roadmap. Two hiring posts alone are not enough to act on.

Consider:

- Nothing yet. Anoma will flag this again if a product or messaging change follows.

Evidence:

- Mar 11 · Hiring · Careers page — 2 roles: Data Engineer (2, remote EU). Both descriptions mention warehouse-native deployment.
- Mar 21 · Product · vantagegrid.com/product: No change to product pages or messaging in the same period.

## Nothing material changed

- Northbeam: Marketing site, pricing and changelog unchanged. Two blog posts, neither strategic.
- Orbit Labs: Funding announcement covered widely. No product, pricing or positioning change behind it.
- Cardinal: Continued enterprise hiring, consistent with last week's conclusion. Nothing new to decide.
